Who We Are – CRU at Kent State University

CRU is a Kent State University student organization that believes the claims of Christ are true and that He is the source of a full life. We want to give you an opportunity to explore more about God, develop a personal relationship with Him and with other followers of Christ. CRU is set up in a way that is not intimidating, but comfortable and fun. Everyone is invited to check out our events.

Although we each have different experiences and interests, we all share two things in common: We love to have a good time and hang out with each other, and we are convinced that our personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the most fulfilling thing in the world.

Who We Are Internationally

When Bill and Vonette Bright first launched Cru as a campus ministry in 1951, the underlying concept was to “win the campus today and change the world tomorrow.” More than 50 years later, the mission remains the same.

Today, the campus ministry of Cru is a network of vibrant, growing movements on 1,029 campuses in the United States and beyond. Proven and diverse outreach strategies expose millions of students to the gospel each year. Over the past five years, more than 37,900 students made a decision to become a Christian.

Cru International is an interdenominational ministry committed to helping take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. We cooperate with millions of Christians from churches of many denominations and hundreds of other Christian organizations around the world to help Christians grow in their faith and share the Gospel message with their fellow countrymen.
